The thesis deals with the synthesis of new ligands and metal-complexes for a hydrogen-bond mediated chirality transfer. Ligands derived from Kemp’s triacid bearing a lactam in the backbone were synthesized, catalytically active metals were bound and the capability of the resulting complexes to induce a hydrogen-bond mediated chirality transfer was studied. Especially for Ruthenium-catalyzed oxidation reactions this effect could be proven. Furthermore, the synthesis of a new template for enantioselective photoreactions was established and the template was used in [2+2]-photocycloaddition reactions of 3-substituted pyridin-2-ones.
