- Die Kontrastmittelnephropathie (KMN) ist eine häufige Ursache des akuten Nierenversagens. Zur medikamentösen Prophylaxe mit der Kombination Theophyllin plus Natriumbikarbonat gab es bisher keine Daten. In die vorliegende doppelblinde Studie wurden n = 152 Patienten randomisiert. Die Verum-Gruppe erhielt Natriumbikarbonat plus Theophyllin, die Kontrollgruppe Natriumchlorid plus Theophyllin. - Contrast induced nephropathy (CIN) is a frequent cause of acute renal failure. So far there has been no data for prophylaxis of CIN by the drug combination of theophylline plus sodium bicarbonate.
