- Abstract:
- Neuropathische Schmerzen (NPS) schränken die Lebensqualität stark ein. Hiermit soll der Stellenwert geklärt werden sowie prognostische Faktoren identifiziert. Es wurden an benignen spinalen Tumoren operierte Patientendaten betrachtet. Es ließ sich eine Reduktion des KPS um 10% bei NPS zeigen (p=0,007). Es konnte kein Zusammenhang von NPS und den analysierten Risikofaktoren gefunden werden. Durch den klinischen Fokus auf funktionelles Outcome werden NPS als Komplikation unterschätzt.

- Neuropathic pain (NPS) severely limits the quality of life. My aim is to clarify the significance of NPS and to identify prognostic factors. Data from patients who had undergone surgery for benign spinal tumours were analysed. A reduction in KPS of 10% was shown for NPS (p=0.007). No association of NPS and the analysed risk factors could be found. Due to the clinical focus on functional outcome, NPS are an underestimated complication.
