- Im Jahr 2019 traten die E-Scooter im Verkehrsleben deutscher Großstädte in Erscheinung. Diese retrospektive Studie thematisierte kraniofaziale Verletzungsmuster durch E-Scooter-Unfälle und verglich sie mit Fahrradunfällen. Insgesamt wurden 40 E-Scooter- und 360 Fahrradpatienten über einen Zeitraum von Juni 2019 bis Juni 2020 betrachtet. Im Vergleich zur Fahrradkohorte ergab sich bei den E-Scooter-Patienten ein signifikant häufigeres Auftreten an offenen Weichteilverletzungen, Frakturen und Zahnv... »
- Translated abstract:
- In 2019, e-scooters appeared in the traffic of major German cities. This retrospective study addressed craniofacial injury patterns due to e-scooter accidents and compared them with bicycle accidents. A total of 40 e-scooter and 360 bicycle patients were included over the period between June 2019 and June 2020. Compared with the bicycle cohort, the e-scooter patients had a significantly higher incidence of open soft tissue injuries, fractures, and dental injuries.
