Schwindel stellt ein häufiges Symptom dar und führt zu starker Beeinträchtigung der Betroffenen. Man unterscheidet die 2 großen Gruppen struktureller und funktioneller Syndrome (fVD). Bei fVD können Ausmaß und Art der Beschwerden nicht vollständig durch eine definierte Organpathologie erklärt werden. Gleichzeitig werden Interaktionen mit Betroffenen funktioneller Körperbeschwerden oftmals als schwierig erlebt. Ziel vorliegender Dissertation war es, Zusammenhänge zwischen der Qualität der Arzt-Patienten-Beziehung, dem Schwindelsyndrom-Typ sowie dem Patient*innen-Outcome zu untersuchen. Dies erfolgte auf Querschnitts- (n=321) und Längsschnittebene (n=260) an einem spezialisierten Schwindelzentrum.     «

Vertigo and Dizziness (VD) are common symptoms which lead to severe impairment of the affected in daily life. In general, structural VD syndromes are distinguished from functional VD syndromes. The latter cannot be fully explained by a specific organ pathology due to the extent and nature of complaints. At the same time, physicians often experience the interaction with patients with those functional somatic symptoms as difficult. This thesis aimed to investigate correlations between the quality of the doctor-patient-relationship, the type of VD syndrome and the patient-outcome. This was done on a cross-sectional (n=321) and longitudinal base (n=260) at a highly specialized center for VD.      «
