Bei der Grubenpapille handelt es sich um eine kongenitale Anomalie mit kolobomartiger Malformation des Sehnervenkopfes. Die Ursache der Makulopathie bei Grubenpapille wird kontrovers diskutiert. Ziel dieser Arbeit war die genaue Analyse des vitreoretinalen und vitreopapillären Übergangs mittels SD-OCT, und ob Veränderungen in diesem Bereich Einfluss auf die Entwicklung einer Makulopathie bei Grubenpapille haben. Unsere Beobachtungen deuten darauf hin, dass mehrere Faktoren bei der Pathogenese der Makulopathie eine Rolle spielen. Alterationen des vitreopapillären Übergangs sowie Druckgradienten zwischen Liquor- und Intraokulardruck könnten entscheidende Faktoren sein.     «

Optic pit is a congenital anomaly with malformation similar to coloboma of the optic disc. The cause of optic pit maculopathy is controversial. Purpose of this thesis was to investigate changes in the vitreoretinal and vitreopapillary transition within optic pit eyes using SD-OCT, and if alterations promoted the development of maculopathy. Our observations suggest that the pathogenesis is multifactorial. Prepapillary liquefaction and pressure gradients within cerebrospinal and intraocular pressure could be key factors.     «
