Abstract:
In dieser retrospektiven Studie wurde die modulare Megaprothese vom Typ MML des distalen Femurersatzes in zwei unterschiedlichen Indikationsgruppen (Tumor- und Revisionsendoprothetik) bezüglich des funktionalen Outcome, dem Implantatüberleben und aufgetretener Komplikationen nachuntersucht.
Es konnten relevante Unterschiede zwischen beiden Gruppen nachgewiesen werden. Diese werden überwiegend auf demographische Ursachen und altersbezogene Komorbiditäten zurückgeführt.

This retrospective study aimed to analyze the functional outcome and the incidence of complications of the modular mega prosthesis type MML in two different indication groups (tumor- and revision arthroplasty) for distal femur replacement.
Relevant differences between these groups were detected. These are mainly attributed to demographic causes and age- related comorbidities.
