Mittels Tissue-Micro-Array wurde in der vorliegenden Arbeit eine retrospektive, immunhistochemische Analyse der Expressionsprofile von zellzyklusregulierenden Proteinen und Mitgliedern des EGFR-Signalweges in Plattenepithelkarzinomen des Kopf-Hals-Bereichs (HNSCC) in Hinblick auf ihr Potenzial als prognostische Biomarker durchgeführt. Insbesondere wurde eine mögliche Korrelation der Einzelmarker mit klinisch-pathologischen Daten untersucht, um gegebenenfalls Ansatzpunkte für eine Einordnung der HNSCC in Subgruppen mit unterschiedlichem Risikoprofil und Therapieoptionen zu finden. Ebenfalls wurden Markerkombinationen gesucht, die eine bessere Aussage bezüglich der Prognose im Vergleich zu Einzelmarkern erlauben. Dabei konnten signifikante Assoziationen für unterschiedliche Marker aus dem Bereich der Zellzyklusregulation und des EGFR-Signalweges mit klinischen Endpunkten wie z.B. This work is an immunohistochemical analysis of expression of proteins in head and neck cancers (HNSCC), which are regulating cell cycle as well as of expression of members of the EGFR signaling pathway. They were analysed using tissue microarrays and correlated to clinical data to investigate their potential as prognostic markers in order to find a possibility to distinguish these patients into HNSCC subgroups with different therapeutic options. We also investigated combinations of markers compared to single markers regarding a potential improvement in predicting outcome. We could show significant associations of e.g. overall survival and time to recurrence with different cell-signaling markers and members of the EGFR pathway.     «
