Glioblastoma multiforme is one of the most malignant neoplasia and the most common primary brain tumor in adults. Since standard of care, including surgery, radiation and temozolomide only shows incremental improvement in overall survival, increasing the membrane density of Hsp70 on tumor cells through irradiation combined with NK-cell mediated immunotherapies offers a novel strategy to improve treatability. In this study we investigate the dose and time dependent radiation effects on Hsp70 membrane expression density on human glioblastoma cells via FACS-analysis.
