- 239 Patienten mit V.a. Choledocholithiasis wurden mittels initialer Endosonographie (EUS) untersucht. Bei Steinnachweis (32,9%) erfolgte die therapeutische ERCP. Bei Steinausschluß, wurde auf eine ERCP verzichtet es erfolgte eine Nachbeobachtung. Die EUS zeigte eine hohe diagnostische Genauigkeit bezüglich einer Choledocholithiasis (Sensitivität 89,7%; Spezifität 100%). Es kam zu keinen EUS assoziierten Komplikationen. 129 ERCPs und damit 6,3 assoziierte Komplikationen konnten vermieden werden.... »

- 239 patients suspected of choledocholithiasis have initialy been examined by EUS. In case of stone finding (32,9%) a therapeutic ERCP followed. In the absence of stones, no ERCP was performed, the patients were followed. The EUS showed a high diagnostic accuracy concerning a choledocholithiasis (sensitivity 89,7%; 100% specificity).
