Dabei werden standardisierte zusammen mit selbsterstellten indikationsspezifischen Fragebögen benutzt. Die angewendete Operationstechnik ist die neuartige kombinierte Methode, die Penishaut, Hodenhaut und Urethra zur Vagina formt. Die positiven körperlichen und psychischen Ergebnisse untermauern die Wichtigkeit der geschlechtsangleichenden Chirurgie im Transformationsprozess einer Transsexuellen.     «

This prospective study analyzes the effects of a plastic surgical sex reassignment on the quality of life of male-to-female transsexuals. Standardized as well as self-developed indication-specific questionnaires are utilized together. The described operative procedure is the newly modified combined technique that forms penile skin, scrotal skin, and the urethra into a vagina. The positive physical and psychological findings confirm the importance of sex reassignment surgery in the transformation process of transsexuals.     «
