- Die TomoTherapie (RT) ist eine lokale Behandlungsmöglichkeit für anatomisch komplexe Tumore. Fokus dieser Dissertation liegt auf multi-target RT (mtRT) von kindlichen Sarkomen. Von 2008-2017 wurden insgesamt 43 Kinder behandelt. Angesichts der oftmals fortgeschrittenen Erkrankung sind die Raten akuter und später Toxizität akzeptabel. - Translated abstract:
- TomoTherapy (RT) is a local treatment option for anatomically complex tumors. This dissertation focuses on multi-target RT (mtRT) of pediatric sarcomas. A total of 43 children were treated from 2008-2017. Given the often advanced disease, the rates of acute and late toxicity are acceptable. The 5-year survival of 55.6%±18.7% was remarkable for children with multifocal Ewing sarcoma. Considering the small number of patients, mtRT thus offers a promising and innovative treatment approach.
