- Die Dissertation basiert auf zwei Studien. In der ersten Studie wurde der Zusammenhang der PDFF verschiedener Körperregionen und anthropometrischer Fettleibigkeitsmarker untersucht (Querschnittsstudie). In der zweiten Studie wurde ein automatischer Algorithmus zur Segmentierung der paraspinalen Muskeln entwickelt und anschließend evaluiert (Studie zur paraspinalen Muskelsegmenterung). Dazu wurden MR-Messungen des Nackens, des Abdomens und der paraspinalen Muskulatur der LWS durchgeführt.

- The thesis is based on two studies. The first study examines the relationship between the PDFF of different body regions and anthropometric obesity markers (cross-sectional study). The second study is about developing and evaluating an automatic segmentation algorithm of paraspinal muscles (study for the segmentation of paraspinal muscles). MR-examinations of the neck, abdomen and the paraspinal muscles were necessary.
