Das intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) umfasst elektrophysiologische Überwachungsmethoden, welche die intraoperative Unversehrtheit neurophysiologischer Funktionen des Nervensystems gewährleisten sollen. Für diese prospektive Diagnostikstudie, welche den Nutzen des IONM bei der Resektion von intrakraniellen Metastasen untersuchte, wurden insgesamt 33 Patienten selektioniert. Als primärer Endpunkt wurden die prädiktiven Werte, also der Zusammenhang zwischen intraoperativen Potentialabfällen und postoperativen motorischen Defiziten ermittelt.      «

Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IOM) includes several electrophysiological monitoring methods used to ensure the intraoperative integrity of neurophysiological functions of the nervous system during surgery. A total of 33 patients were selected for this prospective diagnostic study, which investigated the benefit of IOM during the resection of intracranial metastases.
