Abstract:
We consider an operating room (OR) suite in a hospital with m ORs where one anaesthetist is assigned to each OR. If additional anaesthetists are employed, we can partially overlap anaesthetic subprocesses of operations. This reduces the sum of the expected makespans of the ORs and the associated cost. We assess the potential for reduction by applying preselective and priority policies to the underlying stochastic resource constraint scheduling problem.

Wir betrachten den Operationssaal (OP)-Bereich eines Krankenhauses. Jedem der m OPs des Bereichs ist ein Anästhesist zugeordnet. Werden weitere Anästhesisten bereitgestellt, können Teilprozesse der Operationen überlappt werden. Dadurch werden die Summe der erwarteten Belegungszeiten der OPs und die entsprechenden Kosten reduziert. Das zu Grunde liegende stochastische ressourcenbeschränkte Projektplanungsproblem wird durch präselektive und Prioritätspolitiken gelöst.
