The data is based on Copernicus Land Cover and population data from OnSSET/Worldbank. In the associated publication, we present a methodology for deriving this data and publish it here accordingly.

Our methodology advances the widely used ONSSET electrification planning model to estimate the maximum joint potential of electrified agriculture, electric mobility and adapted rural electrification strategies. Our approach involves geospatially estimating energy demands using population, land cover, and infrastructure data.
