- Abstract:
- 49 Patienten mit Unterkieferfrakturen mit Beteiligung des N. alveolaris inferior wurden prä- und postoperativ mit einer 3D STIR- und einer "Black Bone"-Sequenz in der MRT untersucht. Im ersten Teil wurden Korrelationen zwischen Nervdurchmesser sowie Signalintensität im MRT-Bild und klinischer Symptomatik einer Nervschädigung untersucht. Im zweiten Teil wurden die im MRT-Bild gemessenen Werte für die Frakturdislokation mit denen der präoperativ angefertigten CT- oder DVT-Datensätze verglichen.

- 49 patients with mandibular fractures involving the inferior alveolar nerve were examined pre- and postoperatively using a 3D STIR and a "Black Bone" sequence in MRI. In the first part, correlations between nerve diameter and signal intensity in the MRI image and the clinical symptoms of nerve damage were investigated. In the second part, the values for fracture displacement measured in the MRI image were compared with those from preoperative CT or CBCT scans.
