The present investigation is based on CBCT scans obtained during the period from early January 2017 to mid-June 2022, as part of maxillofacial surgical therapies. The scans comprise preoperative (t0) and postoperative (t1) images, utilized for treatment planning, simulation, and assessing treatment outcomes. The programs Dolphin (Imaging & Management Solutions, Chatsworth, USA), Romexis 5 (Planmeca Oy, Helsinki, Finland), and Romexis 6 (Planmeca Oy, Helsinki, Finland) were used to make measurements of volume and minimal creoss sectional area of the oropharynx within CBCT scans. Data was collected in Excel (Microsoft, Redmond, USA) Spreadsheets.
