- The present investigation is based on CBCT scans obtained during the period from early January 2017 to mid-June 2022, as part of maxillofacial surgical therapies. The scans comprise preoperative (t0) and postoperative (t1) images, utilized for treatment planning, simulation, and assessing treatment outcomes. - Retrospective analysis using CBCT of 29 patients, pre- (t0) and post- (t1) surgical jaw realignment. Measurements of oropharyngeal volume V and minimum cross-sectional area MCA, with Dolphin (Do) (Imaging & Management Solutions, Chatsworth, USA), Romexis 5 (Ro5) and Romexis 6 (Ro6) (Planmeca Oy, Helsinki, Finland) software packages, using a static threshold. Data were analyzed using Excel (Microsoft, Washington, USA) and SPSS (IBM, New York, USA).
