Digital platform ecosystems are the dominant model for large-scale value co-creation among actors. However, platform owners are challenged with managing the engagement of autonomous third parties. Based on literature reviews and a qualitative research approach, we investigate complementors' engagement in digital platform ecosystems. We provide an integrated understanding of platform owners' complementor engagement and information-based management approaches. Thus, we contribute to the discussion on platform ecosystems.
