Pedigree and phenotype data from a cohort of 246 children diagnosed with language impairment (LI) were available. In this work, the basic data and three follow-up examinations were processed and divided into two groups. The first group consisted of 120 children, whose parents also have had a LI. The second group was made up of 126 children whose parents did not have a LI. When comparing the first and the second groups, no significant differences regarding type, severity and progression of the LI were found.
