The present dissertation focusses on the synthesis of appropriate oligomeric ether-diols as copolymer-components for the production of thermoplastic elastomers. These oligomers could be built from renewable resources respectively from fatty alcohols over allyl alkyl carbonates via a palladium-catalyzed ether synthesis and a subsequent metathesis. To increase the pool of educt carbonates isomerization experiments were performed and for that purpose a novel molybdenum-η
3-allyl-carbonyl complex was synthesized.
Besides the synthesis this work focusses on the extraction of plant saps from the Amazonian lowlands of Ecuador. These exudates were examined for such polymeric compound groups.
