- Abstract:
- Two novel approaches to compute the time-variant reliability of deteriorating structures conditional on inspection and monitoring data are presented. The first approach formulates the problem as a nested reliability problem, which can be solved with structural reliability methods. The second approach uses Bayesian networks combined with inference algorithms to solve the problem. An implementation of both approaches is discussed, and they are demonstrated through numerical examples.
