- Abstract:
- This dissertation tackles two different managerial planning tasks that relate to the field of workforce planning: (i) a strategic workforce capacity planning problem, and (ii) an airport operations planning problem, in which workers are allocated to flights. Uncertainty is involved in both planning problems and is explicitly considered in the optimization models. Since the models are difficult to solve, customized solution procedures have been developed for each context.

- Diese Dissertation befasst sich mit zwei verschiedenen Planungsaufgaben aus dem Bereich der Personalplanung: (i) ein strategisches Personalkapazitätsplanungsproblem und (ii) ein operatives Flughafenbetriebsplanungsproblem, bei dem Arbeiter Flügen zugewiesen werden. In beiden Planungsproblemen gibt es unsichere Eingabedaten, was in den Optimierungsmodellen explizit berücksichtigt wird. Da die Modelle schwer zu lösen sind, wurden für beide Modelle maßgeschneiderte Lösungsverfahren entwickelt.
