Im Rahmen der Promotion wurde die Baugeschichte von Schloss Kirchberg a.d.Jagst anhand einer interdisziplinären, die Methoden der Historischen Bauforschung und Kunstgeschichte vereinenden Analyse unterzogen. Grundlage bildete die Dokumentation des überkommenen Baubestands und eine umfassende Analyse des nahezu vollständig erhaltenen ehem. Kirchberger Hausarchivs. Es dokumentiert den Baubetrieb vom 16. bis ins 19. Jh. nahezu lückenlos, spiegelt zugleich das Leben am Hof von Kirchberg eindrücklich wider und vermittelt so einen einmaligen Einblick in den sozialen, administrativen und zeremoniellen Organismus dieses ehem. hohenloheschen Duodezfürstentums.     «

The dissertation project studies the historical development of the castle at Kirchberg a.d.Jagst using interdisciplinary methods from art history and building archaeology. The research based on a comprehensive documentation of the existing building and an extensive study of the former manorial archive that documents almost the entire building works undertaken from the 16th to the 19th century and paint a picture of life at the court in Kirchberg. In addition the historical documents provide unique insight into the social, administrative and ceremonial organism of this former miniature court.     «
