This study focused on the prospective acquisition of peri- and intraoperatively administered volumes and their impact on the emergence of postoperative complications after head and neck surgery with microvascular reconstructions. Already known risk factors as the ASA-status and the duration of hospital stay were confirmed. The administration of red blood cells showed an increased statistical risk for postoperative complications while the use of noradrenaline did not.
