Abstract:
This paper presents a simplified model predictive torque control (PTC) algorithm for surface-mounted five phase permanent magnet synchronous motors with non-sinusoidal back-EMF. The number of weighting factors is greatly reduced in comparison to conventional model predictive torque control.
