100 patients with anaphylactic reactions of any severity grade have been evaluated both, by standardized questionnaires and by personal reports. Symptoms as well as prodromal signs and triggers were documented. The combination of objective evaluation and narrative documentation facilitated an accurate analysis of anaphylactic reactions and suggested a certain sequence of organ manifestations. Additionally the value of patient-centered anamnesis and informed consent became apparent. These new aspects have to be evaluated in detail in future studies.
