In this thesis, electromagnetic investigations on vehicle antennas operating in various telecommunication services in virtual drive simulations are presented. The combination of fullwave- and ray tracing-methods is investigated aiming at high computational accuracy. Several fullwave-techniques and -methods are introduced and compared. For the propagation of electromagnetic waves in mobile scenarios a ray tracing tool is developed, which is optimized for high speeds of computation by the employment of graphic processing units.
