- This trial is a comparison of two groups of patients with head and neck cancers in relation to the applied treatment: surgery alone versus surgery followed by radiotherapy.The groups were different concerning tumor stage. Despite higher tumor stages in the surgery plus radiotherapy group the outcome data were comparable (survival, local recurrence rate, progression free survival).
