- As renewable energy becomes more common and because this energy cannot be as steadily produced, timely consumption gains importance over conversion and storage. In an effort to manage this, the ability for private households or smart homes to allow appliances to be remote controlled based on current power availability becomes advantageous. To this end, necessary concepts and protocols are developed and demonstrated with both customised hardware and specifically implemented software.
