Abstract:
Oxidn. of CO was studied on Pt3Sn(110) and Pt3Sn(111) bimetallic single crystal alloys in 0.5M H2SO4. Alloy surfaces were characterized in ultra high vacuum (UHV) by Auger electron spectroscopy, low energy ion scattering spectroscopy (LEISS) and LEED. Clean Pt3Sn surfaces produce LEED patterns consistent with the surface compn., detd. by LEISS, of ∼25 at.
