Companies are competitive if their products are on time, are of high quality, and if they provide the agreed contents within the intended budget. Between these conflicting priorities a huge amount of information is generated and documented during the development process. The result is a discontinuous information environment, containing a variety of inconsistent information in the context of requirements engineering. In the course of this work a modular methodology for systemizing these goals and requirements is developed to reduce the deficiencies identified in a broad analysis of the requirements processes and respectively of the documents and information systems. With this methodology a procedure is defined that improves the quality of the information and minimizes the identified insufficiencies. Moreover it systematizes the goals and requirements, improves their traceability and optimizes the provision of the information during the development process. Based on this systematization of the information the requirements of the customers and the business goals can be managed and implemented into a product consistently.
