25 patients, whose subjective memory complaints were confirmed by informants, were examined at two points of time (time span of follow-up examination: 3,12+/- 1,3 years) and – on the basis of the patient´s individual modification as to the CDR-SOB – divided into two groups (stable/remitting and progressive).
In the course of these examinations no significant differences could be proved between the two groups – neither concerning their age, gender, number of years of education, profession, premorbid verbal IQ nor by means of the patients´ results in the tests of the neuropsychological CERAD-NP-battery and the Pre-MCI-protocol.
Thus no cognitive deterioration could be objectified during the examination, which means that further studies are required.
