Abstract:
Based on Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory, this dissertation examines the influence of cultural orientation on self-control in Chinese samples. This dissertation consists of A review and Two empirical studies. The findings indicate the importance of the influence of collectivism when evaluating the development of self-control. This will provide more theoretical support for this field of research.

Auf der Grundlage von Bronfenbrenners ökologischer Systemtheorie wird in dieser Dissertation der Einfluss der kulturellen Orientierung auf die Selbstkontrolle in chinesischen Stichproben untersucht. Diese Dissertation besteht aus einer Übersichtsarbeit und zwei empirischen Studien. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, wie wichtig der Einfluss des Kollektivismus für die Entwicklung von Selbstkontrolle ist. Dadurch wird dieses Forschungsgebiet theoretisch besser untermauert.
