Ziel dieser Studie war die Entwicklung dermatohistologischer Kriterien zur Diagnose von Mastozytose der Haut (MIS). Hierzu wurden 41 MIS-Fälle und 36 Kontrollfälle immunhistochemisch aufgearbeitet und mikroskopisch ausgewertet. Folgende Kriterien stellten sich als besonders wichtig heraus: Mastzelldichte (MZ-Dichte) in den subepidermalen 300 µm der Haut (Cut-off 140 MZ/mm² mit Spezifität von 97,2%), mittlere bis starke basale Hyperpigmentierung der Epidermis und interstitielles Vorkommen von MZ bzw. Vorliegen von MZ-Clustern. Das Vorkommen von T-Zellen im Infiltrat ist häufig, aber unspezifisch.      «

This study aimed to define dermatohistopathological criteria for the diagnosis of mastocytosis in the skin (MIS). 41 MIS cases and 36 controls were used for immunohistochemical stainings and evaluated microscopically. The following criteria were found to be most important: Mast cell (MC) density in the upper 300 µm of the skin (cut-off 140 MC/mm² , specificity = 97,2%), intermediate to strong basal hyperpigmentation and interstitial occurrence of MCs or MC clusters. T cells were commonly found, but are unspecific.      «
