Schwere Colchicin-Intoxikationen sind selten, aber potentiell letal; die meisten in Deutschland vorkommenden Fälle sind akzidenteller Genese und ereignen sich in den Frühjahrsmonaten durch Verwechslung von Bärlauch mit Herbstzeitlose. Bei schweren Vergiftungen entwickeln die Patienten ein Multiorganversagen; eine spezifische Therapie ist bisher nicht vorhanden. Diese Arbeit umfasst die Symptomatik, Diagnostik und Therapie der akuten Colchicin-Intoxikation und wertet insgesamt 21 Fälle von leichtem bis letalem Verlauf aus, die zwischen 1998 und 2011 in MRI behandelt wurden. Zusätzlich wurden vergleichend zur Analyse Kasuistiken aus der Literatur herangezogen. Als Ergebnis konnten bestimmte pathologische Laborwerte als Prognoseparameter für die Schwere der Intoxikation identifiziert werden.      «

Severe colchicine poisoning is an uncommon, but potentially life-threatening emergency. Poisoning due to accidental ingestion of plant material (Autumn crocus) occurs in Germany mostly in spring. Colchicine intoxications with severe course, are known to develope multiple organ failure and currently there are no specific treatments available. We evaluate the symptoms, diagnostic measures and therapy of 21 poisoning cases, wich were treated at MRI between 1998 and 2011. Furthermore we compare the results with the relevant literature. This trial suggest that specific parameter may be used to predict the severity of the poisoning.      «
