367 patients of a psychosomatic and a trauma-oriented policlinic underwent a psychometric evaluation using self-reporting questionnaires including Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-D), Impact of Event Scale (IES), Posttraumatic Stress Scale (PDS), Dissociative Experiences Scale Taxon (DESTAX) and Dresdner Körperbildfragebogen (DKB-35). Subjects were assigned to the subgroups with or without PTSD. The objective was to ascertain differences in symptomatology, the experience of complaints and body image. The results varied significantly in terms of sex (♀>♂), somatoform symptoms, previous relevant traumatization, the value of pathological dissociations, and the experience of complaints in consequence of traumatization.
