The aim of this study was the investigation of biogas and methane potential yields coming from different energy crops, including a complete input and output chemical analysis. Therefore, the influence of the different nutrient composition on the digestibility of energy crops digested in anaerobic conditions will be examined. For the investigation a laboratory-scale digester system was developed to perform experiments, through which 206 different energy crops were chemically analyzed and fermented. The resulting gas yields from 1310 fermentations were evaluated. For the first time, with the usage of the enlarged Weender feed analysis, it is possible to calculate with regression analysis the biogas and methane potential yields.
