Das an der Technischen Universität München (TUM) entwickelte Schachtwasserkraftwerk produziert klimafreundlich Strom und schont gleichzeitig die Natur stärker als konventionelle Wasserkraftwerke. Die Turbine wird in einem Schacht im Flussbett versteckt. Fische können über das Kraftwerk hinweg flussabwärts wandern. Das Video zeigt, wie das Schachtkraftwerk funktioniert.

The shaft power plant was developed at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). As well as producing green energy, the plant is also kinder to the natural environment than conventional hydropower plants. The turbine is concealed in a shaft in the river bed. Fish can pass freely over the power plant on their migration downstream. The video shows how the shaft power plant works.
