In the here presented study 56 patients, 28 women and 28 men in the average age of 31.3 ± 10.0 years (15-57 y.), were examined clinically (VAS, Tegner, AOFAS, Lysholm) and radiologically (X-Ray and MRI) after having had autologous cartilage-bone transplantation of the talus after a mean follow-up time of 2.4 years. All the collected subjective and objective data improved in average from preoperative to postoperative significantly. (VAS 7,7 to 2,6, Tegner 3,1 to 4,9, AOFAS to 88, Lysholm to 94,7). 89% of the patients were very satisfied or satisfied with the operation results. The outcome of this research approves the local value of this relatively invasive operation method for the therapie of ostochondral lesions of the ankle joint.
