Abstract:

Translated abstract:
We developed a testing protocol, in which the recovery of articular cartilage was continuously recorded with a load of 5,66 kPa for the first time using a new high dynamic closed loop testing device. In a solid indentation a static and a cyclic creep-recovery-test (bovin, n = 10 and n = 7) was conducted. In a main test a cyclic intermittent protocol was used in a porous indentaion (ovin, n = 7; 5 cycles) and a cartography of the knee was created. Differentiated statements about the curves of creep and recovery could be made and a high topographic variance was found. In all testing locations full relative recovery could be observed in the 3rd cycle.
