Despite its importance in osteoporosis research, non-invasive bone health measurements are still insufficient. This cumulative dissertation consists of three publications in the field of bone imaging using ultrashort echo time (UTE) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The first two publications focus on qualitative and CT-like imaging to improve radiological diagnosis of bone pathologies. The third publication investigates quantitative imaging of trabecular bone in the context of osteoporosis research.
