Abstract:
In this thesis, ring-opening polymerization (ROP) is used for the synthesis of (bio)degradable or chemically recyclable aliphatic polyesters. Catalyst design studies focus on indium and yttrium salan-type complexes for the ROP of various cyclic esters and the production of sophisticated materials such as block copolymers or isotactic poly(3-hydroxybutyrate). In addition, monomer design furnishes a bicyclic lactone for generating a polyester that is selectively and quantitatively depolymerizable to the monomer.

Darüber hinaus liefert das Monomerdesign ein bicyclisches Lacton zur Herstellung eines Polyesters, welcher selektiv und quantitativ zum Monomer depolymerisierbar ist.
