The objective of this study was to evaluate the hemodynamic performance of two types of biological aortic valve prostheses, the AvalusTM (Medtronic, Minneapolis, MN, USA) and the Perimount Magna EaseTM (Edwards Lifesciences, Irvine, CA, USA), up to 5 years postoperatively through serial echocardiographic examinations. Following propensity score matching, clinical and hemodynamic outcomes were compared among 48 patients. The 5-year survival rate did not differ significantly in both groups. Both valve types demonstrated comparable hemodynamic performance throughout the 5-year follow-up period.
