For diseases with complex and multi-factorial etiology, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), the integrative analysis of different omics data modalities is desperately needed to further understand underlying disease mechanisms and identify novel therapeutic targets. However, integrative analyses remain a central challenge. In this thesis, I provide an overview of existing multi-omics integration strategies and develop a novel network- based integration framework that I apply to create the AD Atlas, a publicly available web-based multi-omics resource for Alzheimer’s research.
