Regarding the time interval between trauma and surgical care, there is disagreement in the current literature, as to whether the care should be considered a surgical emergency or whether delayed surgical care is possible without increasing the complication rate. The aim of this study was to retrospectively analyze the interval between trauma and surgical treatment in mandibular fractures in the tooth-bearing area. According to the data of our study, delayed surgical care has no influence on the complication and infection rate in mandibular fractures in the tooth-bearing area.
