Hot stamping with quenchable boron-manganese steels is becoming more common in automotive industries, in order to manufacture lightweight vehicle components with high strength. However, the high strength of the hardened component causes severe tool wear and low process stability during conventional blanking process. In this research, process parameters have been successfully investigated for a process by which the hot cutting process can be integrated into the hot stamping tool. Finally, the hot stamped components can be blanked with lower strength at warm temperature.
