A design method for DC/DC-converter control, which is applied in automotive dual-voltage power-nets, is proposed. The development process is based on models at different levels of abstraction. Each level has a focus on a limited frequency range. The design of the power stage is discussed on circuit level, the converter control design on component level and the integration of the system control strategies on system level. In order to optimize the energy transfer characteristics of the DC/DC-converter two approaches are discussed, which can be developped and implemented parallel to the conventional converter control.
