This thesis analyses the use of two existing functional test methods (Classification-Tree Method (CTM) and Classification-Tree Method for Embedded Systems (CTM/ES)) for systematisation the test process of embedded software in automotive electronic systems. Considering a novel concept of linking the two test methods, potential integration scenarios are presented in the existing test process and are proven by test designers with regard to the suitability for daily use. The results of this study require an adaptation of the presented concept. The modified integration concept resigns the use of the CTM/ES and integrates only the CTM including the tool support into the existing test process. According to the statement of the test designers, the structuring of test contents is improved by using the CTM. Furthermore statements about the achieved test coverage are possible as well as the declaration of measurable test end criteria.
