A time-domain boundary value (TDBV) - method for the self - consistent determination of the steady state solution of oscillators is applied to the simulation of a SAW stabilized bipolar oscillator including transmission lines. The boundary value problem was solved with the multiple shooting algorithm, which has a wider region of convergence than conventional single shooting. Comparison of measurement and simulation shows agreement within 50 ppm for the frequency of the fundamental oscillation and 0.5 dB for the output power.
